Final Thoughts ๐Ÿ’ญ

Throughout this inquiry process, I have learned new techniques related to Rainbow Loom and tried out some challenging tutorials. I have also created resources I can share with other teachers and use in my own future classrooms! If you want to check back on my previous posts, click on the buttons below.

Over the past couple of months, I have enjoyed the creative aspect of my project. It has been fun for me to revisit a hobby from my childhood and take it beyond the bracelets I made when I was in elementary school. Creating the Triceratops was complicated yet fun, and I learned a new technique. Even though it was frustrating and time-consuming, I was really proud of my result! I want to make another one for my boyfriend, but I need to take some time before I make another one, as it was really difficult ๐Ÿ˜….

Free inquiry is something I will use as a teacher, and I hope to use the resources I’ve created for either a center or early finisher activity, depending on the grade I end up teaching. Creating the resources themselves was really fun. I love working with Canva, so I made them on there. The way I denoted the difficulty levels was entirely visual, and I tried to make the steps as clear as I could for younger students who are emerging readers.

This project was also a fun way for me to integrate a hobby into my university schoolwork. It made this project so much more motivating because I got to do something fun that I already enjoyed doing, while simultaneously learning new skills and developing the project into something more. Overall, I greatly enjoyed the free inquiry process and had a fun time being creative.
